Senior Research Associate, Antibody Discovery

We are seeking a Senior Research Associate to contribute to OmniAb antibody discovery campaigns, from immunization to the best possible panel of therapeutic candidate antibodies. The position calls for strong technical skills, experimental design experience, and hands-on experience in molecular biology, cell culture, and assay development. Additionally, the role will involve coordinating experiments across a variety of projects, so effective communication skills and a collaborative nature are necessary.
This is an onsite position based out of our Emeryville headquarters. This role reports to the Senior Director, Antibody Discovery.

Responsibilities:
Execute high-throughput antibody discovery projects for partner and internal initiatives with exceptional attention to detail.
Prepare and communicate experimental data reports for partner and internal antibody discovery programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biologists, engineers, and project managers.
Maintain accurate sample tracking, documentation, and reporting of experimental results, ensuring clear communication and actionable insights.
Support day-to-day operations, service, and troubleshooting.
Support and participate in scientific conferences.
Other duties as required.
Requirements:
BS in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience.
Alternatively, MS in a relevant field and 3+ years of experience.
Experience in mammalian cell culture.
Experience with techniques for antibody characterization such as ELISA, flow cytometry, and cellular assays.
Experience in molecular biology.
Experience in and thorough knowledge of experimental design, underlying scientific principles, and the ability to analyze and assess results independently.
Eagerness to learn new methods and apply knowledge to a steady stream of new projects with distinct goals.
Must demonstrate well-developed communication, record keeping, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Nice to Haves:
Experience in antibody cloning and expression.

Base Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000/year
The pay range provided is an estimated base range for this role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, education, and location.
