Manager, People Programs and HRBP

G&A | Hybrid in Emeryville, CA | Full Time | From $140,000.00 to $170,000.00 per year

The Senior People Manager will partner with leaders across the organization to implement high-impact employee engagement programs and create and streamline processes that unlock the ability of OmniAb teams to do their best work. This role will provide human resources leadership and program development in areas of employee relations, performance and talent management, organization development, rewards/recognition, and workforce planning. This role will be a key player in fostering our culture and values. The Senior People Manager is a hybrid position at our Emeryville headquarters that will also have responsibilities in our Durham, NC and Oro Valley, AZ offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach leaders on people strategy, including organizational design, strategic hiring, performance management, compensation, recognition, and learning and development

  • Drive the implementation of performance experience programs including development, goals and managing year-end performance review cycles 

  • Partner with senior leadership to define, execute, and track progress against organization-specific people strategy Objectives & Key Results (OKRs)

  • Empower managers to build amazing teams through leadership development

  • Assess employee development needs and recommend solutions

  • Design and implement a process of engagement surveys, performance reviews, compensation reviews, and talent development 

  • Manage Career Leveling program and Career Pathing programs 

  • Create a process for collecting and recognizing employee feedback

  • Be the company lead for culture and values, partnering with the Executive Team, Marketing and Site Leaders on new initiatives for culture, belonging, diversity, equity, and inclusion 

  • Own training and development for the organization, including manager development and compliance trainings 

  • Create and uphold best practices around project management principles that impact program decision-making, resourcing and implementation

Requirements: 

  • BA/BS in Business, Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree a plus

  • At least 10 years of Human Resources management experience with employee relations, engagement, and program design, preferably in a public company setting within the biotech industry

  • End-to-end HR project and program management experience, preferably in a high-growth environment, driving multiple initiatives from strategy to execution

  • High understanding of project requirements and translating needs into plans, keeping multiple projects on track with the ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines and shift priorities as required

  • Exposure to multiple employee development methodologies, tools and trainings

  • Experience with HRIS systems

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, including attention to detail and the ability to process disparate information and synthesize into storytelling relatively quickly

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including drafting company messages and facilitating meetings and/or trainings

  • Passion for employee engagement and retention with a proven ability to build rapport and interact effectively with all levels of the organization

Base Pay Range: $140,000 - $170,000/year

The pay range provided is an estimated base range for this role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, education, and location.
