Human Resources Generalist
G&A | Hybrid in Emeryville, CA | Full Time | From $110,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist with sharp analytical skills, who is proactive and loves to interact with people through OmniAb’s core values. This role will be critical in building organizational capabilities while expanding corporate functional groups within HR: Total Rewards, compliance, recruiting, onboarding, immigration, and employee development. The Human Resources Generalist will wear multiple hats, managing processes, programs, and systems. This is a hybrid position at our Emeryville headquarters that will also have responsibilities in our Durham, NC and Oro Valley, AZ offices.

Responsibilities:
Support new hire benefits orientation to build a strong foundation for new employees and increase employee engagement
Maintain the HRIS system (data entry, compliance and best practices)
Handle all administrative tasks for preboarding, onboarding, ongoing maintenance, and offboarding, including entering data into HRIS and auditing for accuracy and compliance
Manage HR department dashboards and reporting for actionable insights and OKRs; Operations experience is helpful
Process offer letters, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Administer employee training to ensure knowledge, community, and legal compliance
Manage benefits administration, including educating and providing benefit information to candidates and employees
Research, propose improvements, and implement competitive Total Rewards in partnership with vendors
Ensure Federal and State legal requirements are met and reflected in Company policies and programs
Manage immigration process; versed in various Visa types
Manage compensation database, market insights, bonus, equity, and review cycles
Track and administer leave; act as the main contact for employees taking medical and/or family leaves
Manage relationship with HR vendors and track contracts for efficiency
Assist in developing and executing employee procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
Facilitate company wide compliance with HR policies, coach teams on values and behaviors, and ensure organizational fairness and consistency with values and culture
Provide tools, advice, and information to support effective delivery of HR services and processes, including the communication and interpretation of administrative procedures for HR programs
Participate in development of HR objectives, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing Company requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
BA/BS in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
5-8 years’ experience in Human Resources at a growing company, preferably in life sciences
Hands-on experience with Total Rewards, compensation management, compliance, and immigration
Understanding of State and Federal regulations impacting HR administration
Experience in managing salary and bonus structures, building, and updating pay ranges based on market data
Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment
Self-starter who works with minimal supervision and integrity while also being a strong team player
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience supporting employees at all levels of an organization
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Belief in transparency and open communication, and the ability of an individual’s power to improve and enable those around them
Extraordinary organizational skills, with high attention to detail and focus on accuracy and accountability
Advanced working knowledge of MS Office, as well as standard HRIS and web-based ATS systems

Base Pay Range: $110,000 - $150,000/year
The pay range provided is an estimated base range for this role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, education, and location.
