About Us:

Oculii is developing high resolution imaging radar software to enable the next generation of autonomous systems. Traditional phased array radars have been used for decades and follow a strict size for performance tradeoff - the larger the sensor aperture, the higher the angular resolution. Oculii’s Virtual Aperture Imaging radar software technology fundamentally breaks this tradeoff - enabling its sensors to trade increased compute/processing for angular resolution enhancement with the same physical aperture. Leveraging this technique enables Oculii sensors to extract unprecedented accuracy, range, and 4D positioning information from commodity off the shelf low-cost radar elements, bringing high resolution radar imaging to the next frontier.


Job Duties: 

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and verify embedded system code for radar sensor products
  • Lead a team in system design and work with system architects, collaborate with mixed signal/RF, as well as digital design engineers 
  • Responsible for bringing up embedded hardware, implementing algorithms, developing drivers for a variety of embedded system elements including DACs, ADCs, SPI peripherals, memory interfaces and more
  • Lead the overall design of the firmware architectures and optimize the algorithms for DSP hardware platforms 
  • Provide accurate estimates for the projects, delegate responsibilities, review assignments for accuracy and quality, and be able to meet the deadlines and milestones

 

Job Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or Engineering plus 3 to 5 years of experience as a research associate/intern or related occupation 
  • Must have minimum 3 years and excellent hands-on experience in:
    • Architecting, building and releasing C code for embedded systems 

    • C/C++ 

    • GPU assembly code

    • Machine learning

    • FHOG algorithms

    • SVM

    • DLIB

    • Open CV

    • Rapid design, development, testing, and verification of radar sensor system

  • Ability and willingness to deal with fast development paced and stress for a startup company
