Senior Manager, IT Applications

IT | Remote - San Francisco | Full Time | From $200,000 to $210,000 per year

What you’ll be doing

The Manager, IT Applications will be responsible for providing end-to-end application management with a focus on planning, building, supporting, and vendor management for different IT programs and initiatives.

This position will be required to lead implementations, build business relationships, and support systems for various business functions within G&A. The individual must have a solid understanding of cloud-based solutions and various business processes.

You will be responsible for…

  • Establish and maintain outstanding working relationships with internal business functions (Finance, People Team/HR, Legal, Supply Chain)
  • Design, plan, and implement global application support structures using managed services and/or contactors for various G&A platforms
  • Act as the single point of contact for applications and integrations
  • Partner with the functional lead and business owners on defining system roadmaps
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and engagements with different vendors to ensure that vendors are meeting the expectations as defined in the contracts
  • Act as an escalation point for issues related to applications and integrations
  • Develop and manage programs for applications as required by SOX compliance
  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts with necessary entities where software, services, and/or consulting are used
  • Execute functional tasks and deliverables of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including process definition, requirement specifications, testing, training, reporting, and continuous improvement of systems
  • Develop and manage the change control process for People Team, HR, Legal, Supply Chain, and Finance systems

What Knowledge & Experience you'll bring to us...

  • Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in a technical field
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in IT
  • Minimum 3+ years’ IT experience working in pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience managing IT SOX compliance in a regulated environment
  • Experience working with HR, Finance, and/or Legal teams within pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience implementing and managing NetSuite, Workday, or other ERP is desired
  • Experience working with Expense Management, Legal Contract Management, Talent Management, or Performance Management solutions is desired
  • Excellent management, leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
  • Experience leading global application implementations or integrations is a plus
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical CMC or Supply Chain is a plus

The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location among other factors. Our full-time regular positions also include an annual performance-based bonus and long-term incentive units (equity) provided as part of our compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
