Vietnamese-Speaking HHA/CNA — Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care

HomeCare Field Staff | Charlotte, NC | Part Time | From $15.00 to $18.00 per hour

Job Description

Job Summary

We are hiring a dependable Vietnamese-speaking Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate, structured Alzheimer’s/dementia care for a client in a private home in Charlotte, NC 28214. The ideal caregiver is calm, patient, and experienced with memory care and safety-focused supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dementia-capable supervision to support safety and reduce confusion
  • Assist with ADLs as needed (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility)
  • Support routine-based care, companionship, and meaningful engagement
  • Use gentle redirection and reassurance as needed
  • Light housekeeping related to care (tidying, laundry assistance, meal prep cleanup)
  • Communicate updates per care plan and document visit notes (as required)

Required Qualifications

  • Vietnamese fluency (spoken and understood) to communicate effectively with the client
  • HHA experience and/or active CNA certification (NC-recognized preferred)
  • Ability to pass background screening and meet onboarding requirements
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
  • Dementia/Alzheimer’s experience strongly preferred
  • CPR/First Aid preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior in-home care experience
  • Experience with dementia behaviors (sundowning, redirection, agitation prevention)
  • Strong documentation and communication skills

Schedule

Part-time. Shifts and days based on client needs and caregiver availability.
