Director of Consulting
Notley is seeking a Director of Consulting to lead the company’s consulting business. The successful candidate will be a strategist, team player, individual contributor, and leader. This role requires you to deliver high quality advice and deliverables to a wide range of nonprofit organizations, all while managing the relationship from start to finish. You will scope proposals, identify and manage Notley Crue members who need to make individual contributions to a project, own the client relationship, and ultimately be responsible for the delivery of a superlative client experience.
About the Position:
Over the past year Notley has proven product-market fit with our consulting offerings. We are looking to hire a leader for this effort who will be responsible for leading and further developing all of Notley’s consulting efforts. Notley delivers a range of consulting projects to a range of organizations. The four primary areas are: business model innovation, strategic growth advisory services, back office services, and occasionally staff augmentation (where we plug our team into another organization to help them achieve their growth objectives for some period of time.)

Scoping engagements and turning them into executed contracts
Managing a funnel of work and the capacity of Notley staff to deliver work
Providing strategic oversight to all engagements
Refining products and delivery to improve value delivered to clients and operational efficiencies for Notley
Develop and execute communications strategies with marketing and communications team to support consulting program awareness
Serve as a community ambassador for our work through your involvement in the impact ecosystem
Interface regularly with external stakeholders including nonprofits, ancillary service providers, the public, etc.
Create a stable of service providers to supplement our offerings
Maintain reporting to track performance against goals and optimize future efforts
Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years experience in consulting or appropriate experience in complimentary nonprofit and for profit organizations
Strong grasp of a variety of business models and familiarity with nonprofits generally
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Success in driving quantifiable business results in a highly dynamic and complex environment
Strong project management skills and an ability to develop and deliver financially driven recommendations
Strong people and managerial skills - need to be able to work with people at all levels and manage a wide variety of stakeholders
Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully
A self-starter who is able to work with senior leadership comfortably and takes tasks from start to finish
Knowledge of the social impact landscape including social entrepreneurship, nonprofits, or corporate social responsibility is a plus
A well-developed, yet broad business skill set with a particular emphasis on finance, strategy, developing earned revenue models, sales, marketing, and donor management
