NorthStar is seeking an Architect I/Designer I to join our multi-disciplinary firm in Chico, CA. We are looking for candidates who are capable of orchestrating the timely completion of projects from drawing production through construction. This requires the ability to translate and document design concepts, coordinate and communicate clearly with consultant teams, obtain project approvals and oversee construction administration.

Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. On track for licensure, California licensed architect is a plus
3+ years of experience in an architecture firm managing production of Multi-Family Housing, Commercial, K-12 or Hospital/MOB projects
Advanced Revit and AutoCAD skills with knowledge of Sketch-Up. BIM Management a plus
Knowledge of architectural practice, including design, documentation, detailing, building materials, building codes and construction technologies
An understanding of each phase of the process (SD, DD, CD, and CA) as well as how to coordinate drawings accordingly.
Competent knowledge of 2016 California Building Code, Title 24 Code Compliance, and ADA regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication. Able to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and consultants
General knowledge of construction
Ability to lead well in a team environment
Dexterity to prioritize and manage tasks against deadlines and other metrics
High level of organization and attention to detail
Positive attitude, desire and passion to work within a team
Highly motivated self-starter
