Local Broadcast Supervisor

The Local Broadcast Supervisor leads the negotiation and purchase of radio, broadcast, cable, and digital video media buys in support of strategic media planning, client strategy, development, and evolution. 

Essential Functions 

  • Provide marketplace intel and buying strategies to planning teams as needed 
  • Responsible for delivering planning rates and consult with team on planning direction
  • Negotiate and secure buys, provide information as needed for plan presentations and client approval 
  • Manage delivery and discrepancies with junior level buyer
  • Maintain and produce post reports to planning / clients 
  • Ensure all planning and client deliverables are being met (timelines, goals, budgets, etc.)
  • Main point of negotiation and implementation of buys with vendors



  • At least 4-8 years experience in a high-volume broadcast media buying role, with a demonstrated track record of successfully negotiating and placing media buys.
  • You don’t mind being in the weeds and getting your hands dirty.
  • You know how to maintain keeping good relationships with people internally and externally in the marketplace and have strong attention to detail. 
  • Skilled negotiator with a track record of open and fair negotiations and an excellent reputation in the market.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to influence clients and vendors.
  • Demonstrated strong command of Media Research resources, capabilities and limitations.
  • You have the Excel chops that even Bill Gates himself would be envious of. 
  • Proficient in Strata is a major plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Some travel and after hours and work required.
