Role Summary


The Head of Planning at Noble People will be the architect of our planning discipline, leading a team that pushes boundaries in media strategy and execution. This role is responsible for building, scaling, and refining planning capabilities across the agency, ensuring our media strategies are creative, data-driven, and effective. The ideal candidate is a leader who thrives on developing talent, shaping industry-leading perspectives, and crafting bold, strategic media plans that drive real impact. This leader must not only embody the skillsets and passion to execute planning at the highest level but also define and implement the frameworks and tools that enable the discipline to operate at scale without sacrificing quality. They must also guide our teams in leveraging media budgets creatively, identifying new opportunities beyond traditional methods, and ensuring our work delivers business results by influencing both the media and the message.

You've Got the Evidence to Back This Up

  • Impressive Work Portfolio Proven track record of developing innovative strategic media plans that leverage data and insights to drive business outcomes.
  • Reputation for plans that affect both the media and the message - - innovative and widespread solutions that are valued by all partners in the marketing ecosystem, including creative agencies, CRM, and retail.
  • You’ve Operated at Scale Experience in building systems and tools for scale - - designing effective work systems that maintain quality standards. This includes experience integrating AI and technology-driven solutions to enhance planning capabilities.
  • Strong Talent Following A leader with a track record of inspiring and retaining top-tier talent.
  • Strong in Sales Environments Proven pitch winner and a trusted voice in high-stakes sales and partnership environments.
  • Deep Category Expertise Particularly in B2B, fintech, QSR, retail, and DTC, with a strong grasp of media planning, communications, buying, and analytics integration.

Responsibilities (other duties as assigned).

Leadership & Development

  • Lead Noble People’s Planning discipline, ensuring strategic excellence and innovation.
  • Develop training programs, guidelines, and templates to enhance the skills of Product Leads and planners.
  • Establish planning discipline benchmarks, tools, and standards to ensure scalable and repeatable success.
  • Drive collaboration with Product Leads, activation teams, and media partners to create seamless strategic alignment.
  • Serve as a charismatic, high-impact presenter and thought leader for internal teams, clients, and new business initiatives.

Strategy & Planning Execution

  • Guide and train the development and delivery of media planning strategies that drive business impact.
  • Pioneer the use of AI in planning, advancing a platform-based organizational structure for efficiency.
  • Build proprietary tools, partnerships, and methodologies to inform channel selection, benchmarking, allocation, and phasing decisions.
  • Maintain and evolve Noble People’s Planning POV, ensuring we stay ahead of emerging trends and innovations.
  • Guide data and insights teams to surface the most critical findings that inspire innovative thinking. Lead ideation sessions to inform media and activations, translating research and data into actionable insights.
  • Ensure planning strategies align business objectives with marketing goals, and select channels that maximize audience reach, attention, and outcomes.
  • Develop frameworks connecting objectives, goals, media benchmarks, and KPIs, ensuring a structured, measurable approach to success.
  • Incorporate reach-based and frequency-based planning methodologies, systems, and calculations to optimize media performance.
  • Deliver bold, original work that ties strategic planning directly to business outcomes, ensuring impact at all levels.

Client & Business Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring planning strategies align with broader business and marketing goals.
  • Deliver honest, bold, and original work that challenges conventions and drives real-world impact.
  • Represent the agency as a consistent contributor in new business efforts, helping to secure and expand client partnerships.
  • Champion a collaborative and creative environment that fosters high-performance teamwork
