Ad Operations Manager

Job Description

The Ad Operations Analyst works directly with key stakeholders to launch successful digital ad campaigns. The individual will become an expert in areas including, but not limited to, third party ad serving, rich media creative, ad verification services and other elements related to creative specification, submission, trafficking, and analytics. They will be responsible for QAing creative assets, trafficking display media plans, and providing post-launch support.

They’ll work directly with third party bid management systems, platform vendors, media buying and trafficking teams and internal team on all elements related to creative, tagging, brand safety and trafficking in a comprehensive digital media environment. 

 

Essential Functions

Ad Operations (50%)

  • Work directly with third party ad servers, rich media vendors, media buying and trafficking teams and internal staff on all elements related to creative specifications, submission and ad trafficking
  • Use DCM for operational purposes related to 3rd party ad serving
  • Assist with trafficking and QA’ing online advertising assets onto DSP consoles and direct publishers, and follow up with Agency/Advertisers on delinquent assets as needed

 

Media Plan Implementation (20%)

  • Ensure all media plan requirements are correctly implemented in a 3rd party ad server
  • Assist Analytics and Ad Tech Director to track, measure, and analyze early post launch campaign activities and resolve delivery and performance problems related to set up and technical issues
  • Assist Media team with campaign optimizations as needed to ensure on-time and complete delivery of online advertising campaigns
  • Offer expertise on best practices concerning digital trafficking of campaigns

 

Analytics & Reporting (20%)

  • Pull together raw data files and compile in efficient, digestible format
  • Work with the media teams on setup and delivery of reports

 

Site and App Integration (10%)

  • Generate and distribute pixels/conversion tags according to client’s site integration plan
  • Work closely with Director of Analytics & Ad Tech, the media teams, clients & site management groups to have pixels/conversion tags implemented in advance of media campaigns
  • Work with App Manufacturers to make recommendations and Implement SDKs

 

Required Experience

  • At least 3-4 year(s) of experience in digital media and working with related technologies preferred
  • Solid understanding of digital advertising concepts and terms
  • Basic understanding of ad networks, exchanges and/or auction marketplaces
  • Prior experience with trafficking digital ad campaigns in an ad server and fundamental knowledge of ad targeting methodologies a plus
  • Basic knowledge with creative testing, media formats and internet technologies
  • Must be detail oriented, analytical, organized and produce high-quality work
  • Excellent client service approach and ability to meet tight/ad hoc deadlines and multi-task effectively supporting and delivering on multiple requests
  • Willingness to learn new skills and be able to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team and ability to participate both technical and non-technical discussions
  • Any advertising agency, ad network or publisher experience preferred
  • Working Knowledge of App Attribution SDKS
  • Familiarity with HTML5, JavaScript and Rich Media a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills a must
