Summary of Position
Nexon America is looking for a Production Intern to join our Production team for the 2024 summer internship program. The Production Intern – MapleStory is responsible for supporting the live game service of MapleStory. This includes assisting the Live Games team with providing critical feedback, creating detailed reports, and collaborating with a variety of cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Community, Player Support, Quality Assurance, and Localization teams as well as our external developer.
We are currently working in the office 2-3x a week in a hybrid work model.
The target start date for the internship program is 6/10 (40 hours/week) and the duration of the internship will vary between 8-12 weeks depending on the role.

Job Responsibilities
Work with the Production Team to collaborate on the direction and strategy of the game, ensure a healthy developer/publisher relationship; maintain alignment on goals and deliverables
Assist with task tracking, documentation of decisions, administrative requests, and archiving documents and game assets in a centralized system
Work with various internal teams to compile and generate weekly service report and distribute to relevant stakeholders
Playtest current live server and upcoming content on tests servers and generate feedback reports
Attend production meetings, compile and archive detailed meeting notes, and distribute to relevant stakeholders
Develop and maintain an understanding of the project processes to provide informed feedback and understand player needs; identify and support improvements to any internal and external processes
Other duties as requested by the Production team
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
- Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Game Production, Game Design, or Project Management related field is a plus
Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of basic publishing production role in the game industry
Ability to work with cross-functional/cross-organizational teams
Strong collaboration and conflict resolution skills
Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills
Project management, time management and problem-solving skills
Strong desire to provide qualitative and productive game design feedback
Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to discern actionable and meaningful insights from data analysis
Experience playing and strong understanding of online PC games environment, including live games and online game player behavior
Strong understanding of the game industry including emerging trends, with a focus on the markets served by Nexon
Knowledge or experience with project management software similar to JIRA, Slack, Teams, Sharepoint, Confluence, Excel
Can work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Description for Pay Transparency (hourly)
The base salary range for this position in El Segundo, CA is $18.00 - $20.00 hourly.
