Summary of Position

Reporting to the CMO of Nexon West, the Director of Growth and Digital Marketing is responsible for driving and leading the growth functions for Nexon America as well as partner as a centralized resource for western territories and regions. This critical role involves leading an integrated team across Paid Media, User Acquisition, Social Media, PR & Communications, Influencer Marketing as well as CRM. This talented leader will require a strong data driven approach with an acute understanding of performance marketing including marketing technologies (MarTech) to help lead, develop and drive supporting execution to brand marketing plans for all Nexon America games (PC, Console, Mobile).

We are currently working in the office 2-3x a week in a hybrid work model.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the strategic ownership for our User Acquisition (UA) for PC and console games, encompassing UA spend, agency partnerships and management as well as curating and managing MarTech reporting tools

  • Cultivate a high-performing team of data-driven marketers specializing in user acquisition for PC and console supporting Nexon’s virtual worlds

  • Manage and mentor several critical integrated, cross functional marketing verticals such as CRM, social media, public relations, and influencer marketing

  • Pro-actively seek out solutions to critical business problems to help the organization grow and achieve business goals

  • Closely partner and support the product marketing and brand teams with their go-to-market strategies acting as a liaison to external vendors and partners to help with downstream execution of marketing tactics

  • Foster engagement, consultation, and collaboration with senior stakeholders in game studios, marketing departments, to drive synergy and success

  • Collaborate with Creative and Intelligence Labs teams to support overarching goals, drive and define processes, and refine optimization efforts for PC and console gaming campaigns

  • Other duties as assigned

Work Experience

  • Have 12+ years’ experience in performance marketing, managing demand generation & the player acquisition funnel PC and console games as well as a strong understanding of other critical growth functions such as CRM
  • 4+ years of experience in leadership/team manager role

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience
  • MBA a plus

Knowledge/Skills

  • Managed AAA media budgets and have an acumen for strong budgeting and accounting practices

  • Comprehensive knowledge of local and global data privacy regulations and requirements

  • Advanced data skills; strong analytics background including data manipulation and technical data requirements for UA operations

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and convert the ambiguous into clear action

  • Outstanding communication – both written and spoken at both a regional and international level

  • Able to build relationships and partner with diplomacy and empathy while dealing with multiple partners and excel in matrix environment

  • Have both a strong understanding of the digital games space as well as international business. The role requires diplomacy and strong communications with global and regional teams

Compensation Description for Pay Transparency (annually)

The base salary range for this position in El Segundo, CA is $170,000 - $200,000 annually.

Our salary ranges are determined by market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for that position. An individual’s pay is determined by factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experiences, relevant education or training, and location.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, however the salary range listed in this job posting reflects the base salary only.
