SCCM Application Packager

Join a team of Microsoft experts dedicated to optimizing modern workplaces. You’ll be working on the bleeding edge of collaboration technologies to help deliver transformative solutions for employees at businesses around the globe.

Job Description: 

The Application Packager will package all applications and perform initial application and deployment testing, before making the application available for User Acceptance Testing.  The Application Packager will be responsible for completing the application packaging phase within the project timeframes and client SLA’s, ensuring software is packaged to agreed client standards, and managing the deployment of applications to SCCM (both SCCM 2012 and Current Branch, using either Application and Package models depending on client environments).

Required knowledge:

  • Understanding for the standard packaging process and workflow.
  • Understanding of MSI packaging best practices and standards.
  • Understanding of software deployment leveraging Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (Both SCCM 2012 and Current Branch).
  • Knowledge of desktop deployments for Windows platforms.

Required Skills:

  • Experience using InstallShield AdminStudio for packaging.
  • Experience packaging applications for both Windows 7 and Windows 10 platforms.
  • Experience with VBScript, PowerShell, and other technologies such as batch and Wise Script or SMS Installer.
  • Expertise in virtualizing applications.
  • Expertise in shimming.
  • Expertise in deploying applications to Citrix.
