Outside Sales Representative
We distribute quality building materials and have been in business for 85 years. This Outside Sales Representative (OSR) position covers a territory that includes Southern Indiana and Central Kentucky. The ideal candidate will live within the territory and may reside in Vincennes, Evansville, Bloomington, Jasper, or vicinity. The OSR position is responsible for servicing our dealer network consisting of lumber yards, home centers, and specialty building material retailers. Additional responsibilities include prospecting to identify new sales opportunities. This is accomplished by identifying target customers, making calls, visiting prospects and assisting customers in a timely and efficient manner. Sales techniques, developing customers, following through with commitments and communication are all key components of this position.

Requirements to be Considered for the Position:
• Previous experience selling building materials to builders
• Previous knowledge and experience in the building materials industry
• Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve profitability
• Ability to participate effectively as a team member


Responsibilities:
• Sales & Relationship Building: Service and build existing dealer base. Identify target customers, increases and maintains market share. Collects and keeps up-to-date information on customers’ product use and trends. Meets and/or exceeds sales and profit goals by following up on sales leads, monitoring market trends and growing the positive reputation of the company.

• Communication: Keeps lines of communication open between the team members at the office and customers to ensure that service is accurate and timely. Ensures customer satisfaction by managing accounts effectively.

• Knowledge & Training: Identifies personal growth needs and learning opportunities. Commits to continued learning on products, processes, and more.

• Organization: Must be organized, able to build long term relationships with customers, and able to build your knowledge of building materials – specifically cabinets and exterior doors. Must be self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.

• Responsibilities: Visit dealers, jobsite inspections, customer service, building relationships with existing customers, and adding new customers.
