Part Time Administrative Assistant (Internship)

International Strategic Management: 

Since 1991, International Strategic Management, Inc. (ISM) has provided economic development services to organizational leadership teams around the world, facilitating the establishment of entrepreneurial ecosystems and strategies for leadership teams on economic development and entrepreneurship. We also deliver entrepreneurship and leadership training to high school and college students as well as to organizations supporting technology commercialization, including training for minority, ethnic and immigrant groups. 

Position Summary: 

This position provides administrative and secretarial support for the ISM team. 

Principle Duties And Responsibilities include: 

All standard general office duties and responsibilities, including correspondence with all contacts via mail (thank you cards, reports, email and phone calls)

  • Content writing for print and digital content for several websites

  • Support the development and promotion of events and programs

  • Support in creating and publishing Press Releases and follow-up after with various agencies

  • Support the team as we collect and prepare customer testimonials for viewing

  • Assist with document, spreadsheet and template creation and tracking/maintaining them

  • Manage CRM client outreach using Mailigen and campaign system

  • Work with ISM team to set up a funding campaign

  • Design and implement visualization projects to promote impact on global scale

  • Research and gathering information to assist executive team members as needed 

  • Designing graphic presentations, producing and distributing

  • Data mining and reporting for the sales and account management team

  • Prepare outgoing and respond to incoming RFPs, logging and tracking progress

  • Research and prepare case studies, analytics and ad hoc projects

  • Record responses in either a tangible response format, or a digital format as requested

Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge Requirements: 

This position is perfect for a self-directed team player with a positive, friendly and can-do attitude. We seek a detail-oriented assistant who can be flexible with working hours, meet deadlines despite numerous interruptions, and manage conflicting priorities. The successful candidate must also have the ability and desire to work with international cultures and leaders. To perform effectively in this position, the applicant must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Four years of college in business, marketing, communications, journalism, international studies or related field  or related work experience.

  • Three years of administrative experience. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision. 

  • Ability to work in a fast turn around and high-pressure environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite. 

  • QuickBooks experience preferred, but not required.    

  • Knowledge of Google Forms is a plus or other web tools and databases such as Nutshell or other CRM tools.

  •  Requires typing speed minimum of 60 wpm. 

General Information 

Pay: DOE 

Hours: 5-15 hours a week

Office locations: Online for now. Troy and Detroit, some travel may be required in southeast Michigan.
