Human Resources Manager

Job Description

Our rapidly growing start-up is looking for an HR Manager. Candidate must be passionate about proactively building experience while developing the #teammoic culture and growing our team into a global workforce community. You will be responsible for managing HR strategies and partnering with senior management on all related subjects.

We need an experienced professional with strong knowledge of all matters relating to HR compliance, recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations and training. Our HR Manager will need to grow programs and lead staff while also possessing a strong strategic mindset to align our people practices with our business objectives.   • Build and oversee all HR initiatives, systems and programs.

  • Create and administer compliant benefits program.

  • Advise on strategic organizational and compensation structure.

  • Recruit and retain the right talent for our multi-state growth.

  • Develop corporate policy and process for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, eeo compliance and recruitment.

  • Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development.

  • Serve as the point of contact for employment relations questions and concerns.

  • Building Internal Community Culture: Building internal learnings programs, team offsites/onsites, cross connection between MOIC Locations.

  • Anticipate and resolve litigation risks


  • Minimum 4 years' experience in HR leadership and recruiting in a start-up or consulting environment

  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations in multiple states, including CA

  • Thorough knowledge of the full range of human resource management principles and best practices

  • A business acumen partnered with attention to the human element

  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards

  • Strong desire to work as part of a fun, creative and entrepreneurial team in a fast-paced, out-of-the-box environment

  • Experience with ADP, Clock-in systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and proficiency with Mac computers

  • Knowledge or ability to adapt to city, state and country regulations

  • BSc/BA in human resources, business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA or certification in human resources will be a plus
