Job Description
The Project Manager will plan, direct, lead, and coordinate activities with excellent communication skills while managing projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters by performing the following duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reviews project initiation documentation to determine time frame, funding limitations, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of each project.
- Obtaining estimates, requirements documentation, statement of work (SOW), and any request for proposal (RFP) documents required to begin the Project Planning phase.
- Ensures that the project budgets are phased and setup correctly in both time-tracking (Unanet) and document management systems.
- Communicates well with department managers and team leads to outline project plans and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Initiates project kickoff meetings to review tasks, deliverables, schedules, communication methods, and other project details prior to start of work with clients.
- Provides project status updates, budget, and schedule to clients on mutually agreed upon intervals.
- Create and implement the communication plan to ensure the project personnel executes the project on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
- Lead scheduled meetings with project personnel to obtain project status reports, assess and mitigate risks, and gather project data for analysis and reporting of project performance.
- Ability to regularly communicate schedule derivations, budget overages, project change orders, and other project risks with Project Controls team, Department Manager and project stakeholders.
- Utilize earned value management techniques to manage schedule, budgets, and identify risks.
- Ensure transmittals and completion letters are sent to the client.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Department to ensure all accounts receivable items are complete.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office & SharePoint and Unanet, or related software.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year University; or five to seven years related experience with training that includes all education and experience.
- Project Management Institute- PMP Certification and/or Professional Engineering License is a plus, preferred.
