Commercial Audio-Visual Systems Designer

We are looking for a Commercial AV Systems Designer to join our growing Audio-Visual team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing innovative, high-performance AV systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client experiences.

What You’ll Do:

· Design commercial AV systems for conference rooms, collaboration spaces, command centers, training environments, auditoriums and more

· Develop system layouts, signal flow diagrams, rack designs, and equipment specifications

· Collaborate with sales, project managers, and field teams to bring designs to life

· Ensure systems are cost-effective, scalable, and aligned with client needs

· Support installation and commissioning efforts as needed

What We’re Looking For:

· Three to seven years of experience designing commercial AV systems

· Strong understanding of AV technologies (audio, video, control systems, conferencing)

· Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, D-Tools, or Visio

· Ability to interpret drawings and integrate with IT/network infrastructure

· Strong communication and collaboration skills

Required Skills:

· Independently designs standard commercial AV systems

· Produces full design documentation packages

· Interfaces with clients and project managers regarding system requirements

· Supports installation team during implementation

Preferred Qualifications:

· AVIXA CTS or CTS-D certification

· Experience with platforms like Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, or Biamp

· Networking knowledge (CompTIA Network+, CCNA)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and work in field conditions including standing, bending, and climbing ladders as needed.
