Summary of Position:
The Senior Manager, Demand Planning EMEA owns the overall S&OP process for the EMEA region, building a monthly SKU level sales plan for the EMEA wholesalers to drive supply into the 2 regional DCs. This will include forecasting top-down and bottom-up sales demand, trending SKU, country and category performance, tracking and reporting results to drive sales, revenue, and inventory goals and rolling up a regional view for the global S&OP
The ideal candidate must be able to multi‐task with the ability to manage projects with a strong attention to detail, analyse and process large amounts of data and solve complex problems, and build strong internal relationships with cross functional teams to drive constructive debate around risks & opportunities.
This is a hybrid role - 2 days from home and 3 days in our office in Marylebone.
Principle Accountabilities:
· Owns the EMEA S&OP process, with interlinkages to the global process determined by the US Operations Team, but ensuring that the process caters to the distinct nature and requirements of the EMEA business and its customers.
· Focuses on the efficient use of the statistical forecast tool, Netstock, to build a SKU level monthly demand plan covering a rolling 12 months, capturing account specific activities and sales out data but focused on DC level trends in seasonality and product lifecycle to drive a smooth flow of goods into regional warehouses
· Drive the buy-in to the demand plan from commercial account managers and directors, ensuring a data-driven approach and constructive debate to cut through ambiguity
· Runs monthly meetings with the EMEA leadership team for final agreement of each months’ demand plan submission with clear assumptions, commentary around key month-on-month changes, additions and exclusions.
· Drive improvement in the S&OP process, of product and product category trend analysis, and of reporting and review, and ensure that is reflected back into the demand plan. Manage change with stakeholders to improve bandwidth dedicated to the demand plan and to enhance the quality of inputs and decisions.
· Own the overall regional demand plan for newness, ensuring appropriate use of internal and external SKU and category data to ensure the best view of sizing and pipefill is fed into C2C process decisions
· Work closely with the customer supply chain team to feed in current & next month orders & stock in trade, and to ensure ranging, presentation quantities and retailer stockholding cover are incorporated into newness demand plans.
· Work closely with the global team and with Netstock on efficient administration of the forecast tools and improvements to ways of working
Required Skills & Experience:
· A distinguished technical specialist in consumer products demand planning, with enthusiasm for and knowledge of the colour cosmetics category.
· An expert in the use of statistical forecast tools to drive the efficient planning of a complex portfolio of customers and products.
· An outstanding influencer, comfortable shaping conversations and facilitating debate substantiated with data at sales director level and above.
· Excellent analytical skills with experience of interrogating and manipulating large data sets and using them in category and financial planning processes. Good understanding of inventory management principles and best practice as well as financial metrics.
· Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities and adaptive to shifting priorities in a fast-changing environment.
· Flexible, team player with the ability to work independently as well as with cross functional teams in different time zones.
· Must be resourceful and self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail.
