Senior Account & Trade Marketing Manager, Europe

Summary of Position:

As Senior Account & Trade Marketing Manager Europe for Morphe (FORMA Brands) you will be joining a growing team with a strong cross-functional focus. Your role will be responsible for the growth and success of our wholesale distribution across the EU via our partner Douglas. The position will oversee omnichannel trade marketing initiatives, merchandising, events and other wholesale and sales projects while providing ongoing support, building & maintaining relationships with Douglas’ teams and improve customer experience.

Principle Accountabilities:

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT (50%)

  • Full account level P&L accountability for defined accounts/countries, including sales plan, brand growth, market share, and gross margin.
  • Create and implement wholesale customer plans to deliver brand vision, sales and budgeted growth objectives.
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with all buyers and stakeholders in Douglas and Morphe, and lead retailer strategy meetings to proactively deliver positive outcomes for all. Ensure all internal stakeholder functions contribute positively to retailer meetings.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of in-store activities that drive brand awareness, growth and sales
  • Define productive assortments per retailer aligned with brand strategy, analysing category success and reacting to trends and guarantee the consistency of the product assortment by store
  • In partnership with the Morphe Visual Merchandising team, ensure the flawless execution of merchandising in store, to ensure maximized sales and visual brand impact.
  • Partner with Sales and Education Executives to ensure Beauty Artists represent Morphe effectively in-store, delivering an enhanced brand experience whilst achieving all sales targets and KPIs.

TRADE MARKETING (30%)

  • Negotiate and implement strong trade marketing plans with strategic retailers focusing on an omni-channel experience in line with brand and business objectives.
  • Partner with retailers to understand best practices and opportunities with their customers and platforms.
  • Partner with internal local and global teams to capitalize on opportunities to drive sales and raise awareness.
  • Conceptualize, lead and execute digital marketing strategy, onsite campaigns and activations.
  • Partner retailer PR Teams and internal PR and social teams to identify opportunities to drive wholesale account sales and increase brand awareness through relevant channels.
  • Ensure agreed product launches are implemented in line with company strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with retailers marketing team to identity traffic and sales trends, including brand tracker KPI’s, tourism data and CRM metrics to analyse marketing effectiveness, maximize ROI and optimize planning.
  • Manage the marketing calendar with each country, plan launch activities with the local teams accordingly.
  • Budget Management (plan, track spends and process invoices)
  • Full ownership of marketing budgets per retailer

FORECASTING & PLANNING (10%)

  • Accurately forecast sales, inventory needs and profit of the brand across key accounts, with support from the local and global Operations teams.
  • Management of account inventories, partnering with Operations to ensure OTIF replenishment and merchandising.
  • Supporting EU Operations team to deliver target OTIF for wholesale partners.
  • Partner with Planning team on building accurate SKU-level forecasts on core and newness, providing business insights to inform decisions.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (10%)

  • Support on effective negotiation of multi-year wholesale account contracts, delivering profitable business growth by following the company forecasting and financial planning process.
  • Support on the execution of premium space execution in-store, in line with the FORMA Brands vision, to ensure sales, profits and share of voice are maximized and all Morphe accounts deliver the brand’s visual impact aspirations.
  • Partner with Sales Director Europe to identify new wholesale accounts, in line with the FORMA Brands expansion strategy.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Professional experience in a retail and/or digital environment with responsibility for driving omnichannel marketing campaigns, ideally in the beauty market
  • Prior experience in managing strategic accounts within a fast-paced, retail environment, strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in managing Douglas account, strongly preferred.
  • International experience with expanding markets highly advantageous
  • Prior experience of successfully project managing the roll-out of new bricks & mortar wholesale partnerships advantageous.
  • An exceptional negotiator, with proven commercial acumen and extensive prior management of sales plans and budgets.
  • Highly creative with a keen sense of brand and industry awareness, and the ability to create and deliver effective marketing plans.
  • Sound understanding of marketing and merchandising, with the proven ability to manage and deliver sales through wholesale partners.
  • Must possess strong management, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate with field employees.
  • An affinity to the brand position and vision and the ability to communicate that effectively to others.
  • Highly analytical, with advanced Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent MS Word, PowerPoint skills essential, as well as presentation and project management skills.
  • Confident and highly energetic approach
  • Relevant degree in business or marketing preferred.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written German and English
