Job Summary: The Interim EU Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and activating the Morphe regional marketing strategy across our EU wholesale partnerships and brand building, in line with the Global Brand & Marketing strategy. They will lead the development of holistic 360 Regional Marketing plans; activating and amplifying the global marketing strategy, campaigns and content and commercialising the innovation and marketing calendar with consistency across all touchpoints. The Marketing Director is responsible for planning, managing, and optimising the marketing budget to ensure resources are used efficiently and deliver measurable business results; aligned with the Commercial teams. They will be responsible for Trade Marketing, PR & IR and Visual Merchandising.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days per week in our Marylebone office and 2 days from home.

Principle Accountabilities:

Strategy & Brand Leadership

  • Define and deliver the annual regional marketing strategy, aligned to global direction and regional financial targets
  • Lead cohesive, innovative marketing campaigns across all channels to drive brand heat, reach, engagement and revenue
  • Own regional innovation and launch strategies across marketing, PR/IR and trade channels
  • Own the annual marketing budget, including planning, tracking, reconciliation and optimisation
  • Partner closely with Global Marketing to ensure toolkits, assets and campaigns are timely, relevant and regionally optimised


Trade Marketing

  • Manage and develop the regional Trade Marketing Manager
  • Develop and lead the annual Trade Marketing strategy by channel, aligned to brand and global guidelines
  • Co-create impactful trade marketing and activation plans with the Commercial team
  • Own channel plans and budgets in collaboration Commercial teams to deliver business objectives
  • Lead the annual promotional calendar, reviewing performance and optimising for results


PR & Influencer Relations

  • Manage and develop the Head of PR/IR
  • Define and ensure delivery of the regional PR and Influencer strategy in line with global direction
  • Build and manage strong relationships with media, agencies, vendors and key influencers
  • Drive brand awareness, advocacy and engagement through best-in-class earned activity


Visual Merchandising

  • Manage and develop the Head of Visual Merchandising
  • Inspire creativity and excellence in execution within the EU VM team
  • Support collaboration and alignment with the global VM team
  • Ensure delivery of strategic planning, budget management & on-going development & execution of Visual Merchandising solutions and projects


Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, coach and develop high-performing teams with a strong, customer-centric and results-driven culture
  • Identify capability gaps and invest in learning, development and succession
  • Act as a senior marketing expert and trusted partner to regional and global stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to drive engagement, performance and company values across the region

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience within the beauty industry is a must
  • Multifaceted marketeer with omnichannel expertise – Digital, Trade Marketing, PR & IR
  • Multi-region experience, specifically within Europe ideally within a global business
  • Strategy driven & innovative. Focused on consumer behaviour and able to translate insights into maximised ROI
  • Ability to work in a highly agile, fast moving and entrepreneurial environment where one will be operating both at strategic and executional level and be ready to change plans at short notice
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to drive and motivate team to achieve results
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence across functions and levels within the organisation and beyond
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
