The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Groundskeeper / Gardener to maintain and beautify our center's environment. The person in this role will be responsible for attending to our outdoor spaces and ensuring a welcoming and well-kept atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach with an excellent knowledge of planting, gardening equipment, and physical stamina.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain and grow the garden to ensure it meets specific requirements and expectations.
• Perform basic maintenance such as cutting the grass, emptying bins, managing weed control and leaf raking.
• Plant and nurture new trees, flowers, and various plants.
• Work with hand tools and basic light machinery such as plant vehicles, and small diggers.
• Service all garden equipment and machinery.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a gardener or groundskeeper.
• Knowledge of horticultural techniques and plant diseases.
• Knowledge of garden maintenance and landscaping.
• Familiarity with landscaping design layouts.
• Strong knowledge of local pests and how to eliminate them.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Attention to detail and creativity.
• Professional certifications in gardening or horticulture.
• Knowledge in the safe handling of gardening equipment.
• Experience with plant feeds and fertilisers.
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 30 pounds.
