Technical Sales Engineer (JavaScript)

Job Description

Mobify is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong JavaScript skills as well as previous experience with sales, or in a customer facing role. 

 In this role, you'll be working with our Sales Engineering team to demonstrate to our customers our best-in-class open web technology platform. You'll be joining one of Canada's most widely recognized technology startups and working with teammates with impeccable engineering, sales and competitive credentials. Our outstanding Sales Engineering team has helped Mobify show our value to a variety of internationally recognized brands such as Starbucks, ideeli, Threadless, British Telecom, Expedia, Beyond the Rack, and NBC.

The Sales Engineering Team is responsible for:

  • Customer-facing on-site and over-the-phone technology briefs
  • Creating outstanding collateral to clearly show (rather than tell) our market differentiators
  • Pre-sales solutions implementation 
  • Creating sales tools that act as effect multipliers for our sales executives

As a Sales Engineer, you'll win the hearts and minds of our amazing clients with your technical kung-fu. You

  • Love to delight: future customers and the people you work with
  • Are experienced with front-end web technology (JavaScript/HTML/CSS)
  • Possess great communication skills
  • Have the ability to multitask and deal with several ongoing projects at once
  • Want to tackle interesting problems
  • Have a degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

  • You contribute to the open source community and are active on blogs, twitter and HackerNews
  • Prior experience working in a start-up environment
  • Previous experience in: sales, sales engineering or another customer-facing role such as consulting
  • Know and love mobile technologies such as Responsive Web Design
