Email Specialist -Partial Remote

Job Description

Position Purpose: 

Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams is searching for a dedicated Email Specialist with strong organizational skills to join the Ecommerce Team reporting to the Sr. Director, Ecommerce. The Email Specialist will play an instrumental role in driving omni-channel strategies with the purpose of increasing qualified traffic to our retail stores, website, and lift leads in trade and contract sales. Partial Remote. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

 

  • Perform day-to-day operational email marketing activities including, but not limited to, building the newsletter, writing subject lines, requesting creative, scheduling, A/B testing time or subject line, QA, and deployment of one-time and automated campaigns 

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to build Email Marketing calendar to support omni-channel initiatives.  

  • Monitor, evaluate and optimize channel performance to drive continuous improvements in KPIs using ESP and Google Analytics. 

  • Leverage consumer and web analytics data to formulate strategic insights.  Report daily, weekly and monthly to internal teams. 

  • Responsible for maintaining marketing project timelines, drafting creative briefs, overseeing timely asset delivery and seeking business approvals. 

  • Meet with third party partners to develop best in class triggered email programs.  Follow email marketing best practices including strategies for onboarding, re-engagement, personalization, and audience segmentation. 

  • Partner with merchandising, creative, Retail and E-commerce teams to develop customer-centric strategies. 

  • Proactively research and evaluate new opportunities for growth and expansion. 

 

Required Skills: 

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; able to manage large quantities of data quickly 

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with digital agencies and other external channel partnerships and to work cross-functionally and maintain strong relationships. 

  • Working knowledge of HTML 

  • Reporting on business KPIs using Google Analytics 

  • Proven track record of bringing tested and straight-forward best practices 

  • Strong Excel and presentation skills 

  • Strong self-management, self-pacing and organizational skills  

  • Comfort researching and learning new technology applications  

  • Ability to manage customer, audience lists and managing an ESP system 

  • Flexible and able to respond immediately to often changing business priorities 

Required Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business or related field.   

  • 2 – 4 years’ experience in email marketing 

  • Must have strong skills in strategy and planning, merchandising, and marketing along with project management skills and ability to prioritize and communicate across multiple levels of business.
