Senior Hydraulic Engineer

YOUR ROLE AND INFLUENCE
We have an excellent opportunity for a talented Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join our Transportation Engineering Department located in Cheshire, Connecticut. Alternatively, based on a range of technical proficiencies and ability to work independently, the successful candidate may be able to work from one of our other Northeast regional office locations.
The successful candidate will work as a senior technical resource on both private and state and/or federally funded public infrastructure and transportation-based projects and oversee the design of drainage, hydrology and hydraulic projects. Engaged in multiple concurrent assignments, the senior hydraulic engineer will oversee all aspects of technical work; will assist staff, including mentoring and training; assist with client management; and will support project managers with coordinating schedules and deliverables and may assist branch offices, coordinating technical aspects of transportation design projects throughout the Northeast

YOUR SKILLS AND PROFICIENCIES
The Senior Hydraulic Engineer should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in civil or transportation engineering
- Demonstrated experience in design of storm drainage system
- Demonstrated experience in hydrologic and hydraulic studies and scour analyses
- Five to ten years’ experience working on a wide range of transportation-related projects, including municipal and state or federally funded projects
- Project or related task management experience
- Demonstrated understanding of bridge projects and interaction between roads and rivers
- Connecticut Professional Engineer licensure required
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation
- Must be detail oriented, thorough, well organized, and able to effectively manage time
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capable in developing work scopes
