Product Manager - Transaction Processing Platform

Job Description

SUMMARY

The EVO US & Canada Product Management team follows an agile like product development process.  The incumbent will be expected, in conjunction with the Sr Omni Channel Product Manager, to develop the appropriate Product Backlog and follow the agile process towards the development and implementation of the needed requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ongoing interaction with business channels and clients/prospects to gather business requirements 
  • Regulatory compliance of these processing platforms
  • Develop a product backlog and manage user stories to implementation for the Sterling Gateway, SNAP* (US & Canada) and NG Trans processing platforms following an agile like product process
  • Continuously monitor developments in the marketplace for gaps, competition differentiators, etc. and resolve against current product offerings
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps from conception to decline
  • In conjunction with software development, QA and Product Delivery lead the development and implementation of the requirements
  • Incumbent will track and will be measured by 
  • The market success of the platforms (number of transactions utilizing a new functionality)
  • Overall platform volumes (both transaction and dollar volumes)
  • Compliance  
  • Support of other product initiatives
  • Time to market
  • Management of 3rd party gateway solutions utilized by the EVO US and Canada sales teams
  • Working with Support, QA, Development and IT teams for the resolution of production issues

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of a 4 year college degree
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical or product management role with a minimum of 3 years in payment processing
  • Experience working with message formats, APIs and transaction processing 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with product management processes, ideally in an agile environment
  • Capability and experience in working with business leaders, clients and prospects
  • Ability to build working relationships in a fast pace environment distributed in multiple physical locations
  • Leadership ability, especially in situations without formal authority

 

Under the direction of the Sr Omni Channel Product Manager the Product Manager - Transaction Processing Platform will be responsible for guiding the product direction for EVO US and Canada transaction processing platforms.  These platforms include the Sterling Gateway, EVO SNAP* (US and Canada functionality) and the NG Trans platform.  This direction will be driven by the market and regulatory needs of all the business channels within EVO US & Canada including the ISV and B2B channels.  The incumbent will work closely with each of the business channels and their clients/prospects to understand the requirements of their specific markets.  Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for working closely with the Global Compliance team to understand the business impacts of existing and coming regulations.  Based on the information gathered the incumbent will develop and peer review business requirements to guide the multiple software development teams aligned with the transaction processing platforms.  The incumbent will be the primary driver of US and Canada requirements for these teams and will coordinate closely with them on the development efforts.  Given that most other products are dependent upon these processing platforms the incumbent is required to work in conjunction with the other product managers to ensure that the transaction processing platforms can support the respective product visions and requirements.
