INSIDE SALES MANAGER

Job Description

SUMMARY:

 Sterling Payment Technologies, a division of EVO Payments International provides leading integrated EMV merchant processing services while delivering premium service and strong partnerships with its Independent Software Vendors (ISV’s), resellers and merchants The Inside Sales Manager role is to supervise, coach and guide Sales Account Executives (SAE’s) in reaching company and individual quotas.  The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for the overall success as measured by sales growth, profitability, closing ratios, reseller and new merchant satisfaction. The Inside Sales Manager executes tactical functions for the SAE’s as communicated by Sterling executive management.

 

INSIDE SALES MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supervise, coach, mentor and assist SAE’s in their prospecting, presentation and sales efforts to meet company assigned quotas;

2. Establish, measure, communicate and report on individual SAE and team productivity in regards to company assigned quotas; 

3. Oversee the new merchant leads from resellers to make sure that SAE’s are contacting consistently until potential sales;

4. Improve overall team and individual SAE closing ratios to meet company expectations;

5. Create sales scripts to assist SAE’s in presenting Sterling products and services; 

6. Maintain current knowledge of Sterling products and services;

7. Attend all new product and service training sessions;

8. Conduct regular status meetings with SAE’s;

9. Execute performance evaluations and on-going coaching for all SAE’s;

10. Day to day leadership including oversight of new sales and facilitation of sales administration;

11. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions;

12. Interact effectively and positively with all levels of personnel, and business interests;

13. Handle confidential material appropriately;

14. Adhere to company quality standards, company policies and regulatory guidelines;

15. Complete miscellaneous job duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

1. All applicants must pass a drug test, background check, and credit evaluation;

2. Credit Card experience in the acquiring or issuing industries is a plus;

3. Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows based programs required;

4. College degree preferred or equivalent work experience in financial services required;

5. 5+ years of phone sales experience (preferably in Merchant, Bankcard or Financial Services) required;

6. 5+ years of sales management experience (Inside Sales preferred) required;

7. Highly motivated to succeed in a performance driven environment;

8. Outstanding sales, business development and negotiating skills required;

9. Flexibility with work hours to accommodate multiple time zones required;

10. Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats with individuals and groups;

11. Ability to handle and complete multiple assignments, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines;

12. Ability to multitask and change direction in ever changing payment processing environment;

13. Experience with a CRM system like SalesForce a plus;

14. Create executive campaigns with strategic partners to win new business;

15. Player/Coach – Assist in closing new business opportunities.
