Job Description

This position is with EVO Payments International, the parent company of Sterling Payments Technologies and located in Dallas, TX.

 

SUMMARY

Responsible for contacting businesses via telephone soliciting them to submit a statement from their current processing company in order to sell them the Company’s services. Additional statements are periodically received from merchants in the Statement Retrieval Department and are distributed among the department as an alternative resource. Contact may include existing customers or new business. Must have a detailed understanding of the Company’s core products and services. It is important to be energetic, aggressive, and positive in order to represent the company in various ways with the merchant.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ensure that you have 4 hours of talk time a day or at least one sale a day and 3 hours of talk time 

• Make outbound calls in the QUEUE to merchants and ask for Merchant’s current statement

• Be able to read Merchant’s statements

• Prepare a price analysis compare and contrast of what Merchant is currently paying compared to what EVO can offer merchant

• Present price analysis to merchant

• Negotiate rates with merchants and quote prices

• Talk to merchant about hardware

• Ask the merchant for business on the first call

• Call on any statements received by the Statement Retrieval Department

Minimum Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent with previous related work experience required; Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred

• Ability to work independently, but with a team focus

• Excellent customer service and organization skills

• Effective communications and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, with Excel, Word and Outlook proficiency

• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

• Must be able to pass background

• Must be able to manipulate a telephone handset, calculator, and computer keyboard
