Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION:

The E-commerce Business Developer role is an aggressive hunter driving to meet company assigned quotas in signing contractual agreements, completing integrations and producing processing merchants. He/She will focus on E-commerce referral partners, web developers, and system integrators who will provide merchant account leads to EVO.

The E-commerce Business Developer will to contribute to our company’s sales objectives while building long-term client relationships.

EVO Payments International, a privately held merchant acquirer (credit / debit card processing) with >$100B in processing volume, 600,000 merchants, and licenses across 50 countries in Europe and North America for card present and card not present transactions. We're headquarted in NY with offices throughout the U.S., Europe, Mexico and Canada.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.   Meet company assigned goals and quotas for signed agreements, MID and revenue production, Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats with individuals or groups;
2.   Handle and complete multiple assignments, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines;
3.   Exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions;
4.   Interact effectively and positively with all levels of personnel, partners, and vendors;


RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Prospect and schedule meetings with E-commerce focused referral partners, web developers, and system integrators;
2.    Attend industry tradeshows and travel to meet prospects;
3.    Demonstrate effective sales practices and delivery;
4.    Make outbound sales calls to potential referral partners to establish interest in becoming an active partners of EVO Payments International;
5.    Solicit referral agreements and productivity commitments for merchant processing services;
6.    Coordinate with supervisor to negotiate terms of referral agreements for the purpose of establishing a mutually beneficial partnership;
7.    Coordinate efforts with Sales Engineers of the certification process for card-not-present products as they relate to E-commerce focused referral partners, web developers, and system integrators;
8.    Work with Relationship Managers on boarded referral partners for ongoing referral sourcing and service;
9.    Input and/or update referral partners in EVO internal databases such as Salesforce;
10.    Identify and provide input to supervisor on any potential referral partner concerns, risks and competitive information including market trends;
11.    Conduct sales strategy meetings with referral partners in order to strengthen relationship and increase qualified referral activity;
12.    Maintain thorough knowledge of card industry regulations, Ecommerce trends, applications and internal procedures;
13.    Maintain current knowledge of EVO products, services and processes. Attend all new product and service training sessions as assigned by supervisor;
14.    Manage and meet departmental and individual quotas as assigned;
15.    Log all sales and service related calls in Saleforce;
16.    Escalate unresolved issues to supervisor in a timely manner;
17.    Adhere to company quality standards, company policies and regulatory guidelines;
18.    Perform miscellaneous job duties as assigned.

1.    Minimum of 4 years successful sales experience required;
2.    Relevant E-commerce and payments ecosystem knowledge;
3.    Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or the equivalent preferred;
4.    Must possess time management skills, with the ability to make timely decisions; 
5.    Possess good organizational skills;
6.    Possess leadership skills and the ability to work with a team;
7.    Possess people skills and the ability to solve problems;
8.    Ability to build and maintain effective networks;
9.    Proficient verbal and written skills required;
10.    Effective computer skills in Word, Excel and Windows based programs including email required;
11.    Internet knowledge/base navigation and use required;
12.    Merchant Card Industry experience preferred;
13.    All applicants must pass a drug test, background check, and credit evaluation;
14.    High School diploma required;
15.    Ability to work independently required;
16.    Ability to travel up to 40%
