Digital Learning Design Manager

Job Description

The Digital Learning Design Manager’s role is to design, develop, deliver and manage digital training assets to support EVO’s strategic business initiatives and maximize employee development.  This role will have direct impact on EVO’s commitment to deliver the highest quality sales and service to our customers and partners while maintaining a team culture to attract, develop and retain top talent.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing highly engaging eLearning modules and will bring creative ideas for presenting content that elevates engagement and productivity. He/she should understand learning styles and know how to connect with a varied audience of adult learners. The right candidate must be able to visualize the user interface, learner interactions with the course, and the finished product.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

> Bachelor’s degree preferably in Instructional Technology, Training & Development, Marketing, or Communications or equivalent applicable work experience.

> 3+ years of experience in instructional design and experience in developing and delivering online, virtual training and instructor-led courses.

> 3+ years of experience with eLearning technology platforms and Learning Management Systems (preferably Cornerstone Learning Suite).

> Demonstrated experience in digital publishing, or eLearning development, management and reporting.

> Strong working knowledge of streaming audio and video, file types and formats and experience with conference software utilizing a variety of computer, telecom and webinar training delivery systems.

> Ability to build and maintain working relationships and work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

> Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including instructional, collaborative and presentation skills.

> Strong project management, organizational and follow-up skills.

> Proficiency in MS Office 2016 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint), Adobe Pro, and Adobe Captivate is required.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

> Collaborate with cross-functional teams and perform as technology lead to design, develop and launch new digital learning initiatives based on subject matter and target audience.

> Design, develop and deliver interactive eLearning course materials (including course description design & outline documents, presentations, microlearning modules, video/audio/animation, assessments, instructor guides, job aids and diagrams).

> Identify new innovations in digital education and provide recommendations for optimization of existing programs.

> Demonstrate a solid understanding of graphical interface design and usability standards for online learning products.

> Apply knowledge of design principles for effective online learning and learner engagement.

> Deliver effective and engaging training in a virtual setting, online via a webinar or in a classroom setting.

> Exhibit strong attention to detail, proofreading and editing skills, superior listening skills and the ability to take direction well.

> Display a sense of urgency and the ability to handle and complete a variety of tasks or multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet departmental deadlines.

> Collaborate with team to ensure consistent training processes, conduct learning effectiveness evaluations and provide metrics to management.

> Perform as the primary producer of all multimedia training assets.

> Maintain and update training materials via Cornerstone Learning Management System or other designated method.

> Perform as backup for team members to support such activities as Cornerstone support and administration or instructor-led delivery.

> Partner with team to provide first level support for general (non-technical) training inquiries, room and event scheduling.  

> Handle confidential information and materials appropriately. 

> Perform related projects and duties as assigned.
