Community Relations Representative

  • Represent MedSide Healthcare while attend meetings, hearing, and committees as spokesperson for the company

  • Coordinate events

  • Monitor publications, networks, and legislation matters for information that could influence MedSide's agendas

  • Assist with developing, maintaining, and promoting relationships between MedSide Healthcare and  governmental agencies, officials, businesses and community groups

  • Stay up-to-date with law changes

  • Research federal and state legislation and regulations and local government and community activities; and performs related duties as assigned 



  • Affordable Care Act, Anti-Kickback, Medicare/Medicaid Fraud

  • Local, State and/or Federal legislative process, its steps and influence points

  • Public agency programs, policies and operations and related legislative, intergovernmental affairs, community relations and public affairs issues and challenges

  • Federal, state and local laws, regulations and court decisions

  • Legal requirements and guidelines governing the conduct of public meetings

  • Sound business communication - correct English usage, including spelling, grammar and punctuation



  • Analyze, interpret, explain and make recommendations on complex legislative policy issues

  • Reach independent conclusions and recommend appropriate courses of action

  • Prepare clear, concise, accurate and complete analyses, reports, correspondence, records and other written materials

  • Communicate clearly

  • Testify authoritatively before public bodies and represent the District effectively

  • Exercise tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing

  • Establish and maintain effective highly working relationships with District executives and managers, board members, officials, organizations, committees, the media, the public and others



  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Political Science 

***Campaign experience is highly preferred.
