Case Manager Assistant - Foreign Trained Physician or Nurse

**Must live in Georgia**

The Case Manager Assistant -  Foreign Trained Physician or Nurse (CMA) is responsible for care coordination, advocacy and the delivery of needed services to people who are unable to handle these matters themselves. CMAs , play an important role, providing assistance and administrative support to Case Managers.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate the patient’s Plan of Care by reviewing initial orders and performing either in-person or telephonic referral assessments with the patient

• Involved in patient care from start to end of service

• Participates in rotation to admit clients at local hospital (must be located in Georgia)

• Work with RN Case Manager to review and audit clinical documentation completed by licensed field staff

• Identify areas of improvement for clinical documentation and patient care

• Assist with the provision of patient information or orders from physicians, documents and communicates pertinent information to clinical staff

• Participate in weekend on-call for the purpose of triaging clinical calls on a rotating basis (one weekend per month)

• Provide educational / training sessions at clinical staff meetings as needed

• Administer PPD tests to and read results for staff as needed

Compensation:

• Part-time, Monday - Friday, 20 hours/week or Full-time, Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week

• $16/hour

• With successful employment we are able to provide a letter of recommendation from a healthcare facility

Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved Medical School

• Authorized to work and must live in the U.S

• Eligible for USMLE Step 1 & 2

• Experience with EMRs

• Leadership capability

• Tech savvy

• Medical writing; Developing educational material; Literature searches; Continuing Medical Education; Community outreach; Public Relations 

• Desire to provide the utmost in patient-centered care

• Ability to: multi-task in a busy clinical environment; handle a vast amount & variety of responsibilities; improvise and adapt; work in a team; follow directions and implement feedback to improve job performance

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Superb verbal & written communication skills
