TITLE:   Human Resources Clerk   

REPORTS TO:    Director of Human Resources

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Prefer at least a High School Diploma or GED

  2. Ability to communicate effectively through written material and oral presentation

  3. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others

  4. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The Human Resource Clerk works in cooperation with the Director of Human Resources in ensuring that personnel records are up to date and entering new employee information for Mays PLUS Inc offices.

 

 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  1. Gathers appropriate information for submissions to obtain background checks for all PLUS offices

  2. Sends monthly reports to PLUS offices requesting file update expirations. Maintains current information in HR Database and PLUS software systems

  3. Follow up with office as appropriate on expired documents maintained in personnel files as they expire.

  4. Coordinates and schedules Fingerprinting for Oklahoma applicants

  5. Data entry of PLUS new hires into PLUS systems and HR Database.  Providing new hire information to payroll weekly

  6. Performs monthly OIG reports for all staff. Maintains binder reflecting reports for database matching names

  7. Performs annual licensure checks. Performs EMR and NAR reports for all unlicensed Texas staff who have face to face contact with patients

  8. Assist in developing/creating new employee personnel files for PLUS offices

  9. Entering and maintaining change of status, file updates information in HR Database and PLUS systems for PLUS offices

3.    This position has been designated Class III (see policy 9-001).  Employees performing Class III duties are not at risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens.  All Class III employees will not be offered Hepatitis B vaccination.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

1.    Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communication.

 

2.    Extensive phone use and computer data entry.

 

3.    Ability to effectively deal with stress.

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Agency personnel are expected to participate in appropriate continuing education as may be requested and/or required by their immediate supervisor.   In addition, agency personnel are expected to accept personal responsibility for other educational activities to enhance job related skills and abilities.  All agency personnel must attend mandatory educational programs.
