Job Description
REPORTS TO: Branch Supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Computer proficiency preferably in home health or similar operation. Able to use a variety of software applications.
Has ability to use personal copier and facsimile machine.
Minimum of High School diploma or G.E.D. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Highly attentive to details and accuracy.
Has excellent communication skills.
Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations. Positive attitude.
Excellent interpersonal and phone skills.

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The receptionist is primary responder to incoming phone calls and is responsible for clerical duties in the branch office as an assistant to the Secretary, Case Management Coordinator II, RN Case Managers and Branch Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES  AND DUTIES
Answers telephone with a pleasant and cheerful voice and give information to callers or route calls to appropriate staff. Is the first responder on phones for the branch office.
Performs data entry on company car mileage. Assures that preventive maintenance is performed and current. Receives, opens, sorts and distributes mail appropriately.
May collect drug screens for area industry and agency as necessary.
Maintains organization and distributes office and medical supplies for branch office. Keeps supply area stocked with the most used supplies. Submits reports as requested.
Assists with receiving documentation upon submission Assures that all necessary documentation is present. Returns any incomplete documentation.
Assists with data entry for DVRs, OASIS, etc., on daily basis.
Performs data entry, prints, copies, and distributes verbal physicians' orders and Physician's Plan of Care, including 60 day summary, as applicable, Sends to physician within 10 days of effective date. Date stamps any orders received.
Performs all tracking of missed visits. Processes on weekly basis according to agency schedule. Submits reports to Branch Supervisor weekly.
Prints and sends patient/client census report and all required information for on call RN Triage nurse weekly on Fridays. Stocks on-call kit. Assigns to on call field nurse. Assures that all information is transmitted to appropriate locations/persons before and after each weekend.
Greets visitors, ascertains nature of business, provides information needed or conducts visitors to appropriate person.
May assist with filing of all patient/client care documentation in the original chart. May assist Case Manager Coordinator II as necessary in filing clinical records. Assists Branch Supervisor with other duties as assigned.

CONTINUING  EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Agency personnel are expected to participate in appropriate continuing education as may be requested and/or required by their immediate supervisor. In addition, agency personnel are expected to accept personal responsibility for other educational activities to enhance job related skills and abilities. All agency personnel must attend mandatory educational programs.
