EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

TITLE:    Executive Assistant

 REPORTS TO:   CEO

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Has previous word processing experience, preferably in home health or similar operation.

  2. Has a minimum of 2-year practical experience, or graduation from a one or two year business college.

  3. Can type at least 50 words per minute. Has ability to use personal computer, copier, and facsimile machine

  4. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

  5. Is at least eighteen years of age and is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.

  6. Demonstrates an ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.

  7. Has an ability to deal tactfully with the community and company personnel.

  8. Demonstrates excellent communication skills

  9. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements and is in good working order.

  10. Has satisfactory references from current employers and/or professional peers.

  11. Has excellent observation and communication skills.

  12. Works closely with the agency’s governing body communicating appropriate agency information in writing and verbally as necessary and as directed by policy and procedure.

  13. Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Performs advanced professional assistance work support to the CEO. Duties include general clerical and project-based work. Project a professional company image through in-person and telephone interaction. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  1. Assists in planning and preparing complex data and reports on a weekly and monthly basis.

  2. Manage company contracts for Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Social Workers, nursing homes and other facilities for in-patient and out-patient care.

  3. Manage Private Pay Agreements for patients in need of services that do not have insurance or Medicare as their pay source.

  4. Manage Provider Agreements with various insurance companies and work toward negotiating acceptable payment rates.

  5. Manage and prepare all applications related to licensure requirements for all State and Federal agencies.

  6. Manage and oversee proper intake and distribution of any complaints received by agency.

  7. Manage Non-Compete Agreements and Petty Cash Agreements for new employees.

  8. Supervises and schedules ancillary personnel and delegates responsibilities when required.

  9. Assist in proper processing of lease agreements for company offices.

  10. Oversee proper management of reports received from Lewis; i.e. Episode Master daily reports, adverse events, PPS reports.

  11. .Oversee proper auditing and management of CEC expense reports.

  12. Oversee proper management of patient surveys and the results thereof.

  13. Any other duties that may be required.

  3. This position has been designated Class III office position (see Infection/Exposure Control Plan). Employees performing Class III office position duties are not at risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials. All Class III position employees will not be offered Hepatitis B vaccination.


 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  1. Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communication.

  2. Ability to deal effectively with stress.

  3. Flexibility in routine is to be expected frequently as needs dictate.
