This superhero is a Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 1 year of recent home health experience who leads the charge in organizing therapeutic services from all angles, putting together patient care plans and supervising all those involved. The DON also keeps an eagle eye on branch office operations, ensuring top-notch performance from everyone on the team and compliance with agency policies and state and federal laws and regulations. Here's a quick rundown of what the DON does:

• Leading by example, the DON creates a positive work environment that inspires other staff members to excel.
• Keeping up to date with all agency policies and procedures, and state and federal laws and regulations.
• Following HIPAA regulations and keeping all patient information confidential.
