About us:
Maryland Treatment Centers Inc., provides a comprehensive continuum of treatment for persons of all ages with problems involving substance use. We feature specialty services for adolescents, young adults and adults. Clinical programs include assessment, residential/inpatient, detoxification, day treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient substance abuse, dual diagnosis, mental health, special education and prevention services. Our programs are accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO).
About the Position:
*We are looking for individuals to work Full-Time and/or Part-Time for day and night shifts at our Avery Road Treatment Center location in Rockville, Maryland
*Must be willing and available to work any holiday (including Christmas and/or Thanksgiving)
Responsibilities include:
Ensures unauthorized individuals and prohibited substances are prevented from entering the facility.
Assists staff, as needed, in managing challenging patient or staff situations.
Conducts hourly security rounds and completes detailed security logs documenting any violations or suspicious activity observed during the shift.
Reports all safety hazards and maintenance concerns promptly to the appropriate authority.
Performs routine parking lot checks to ensure the safety and protection of staff and company vehicles.
Escorts staff to and from the parking lot upon request to ensure their safety.
Inspects all exit doors to maintain a secure environment for patients and staff.
Completes all required security documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Submits work orders for safety concerns, malfunctioning locks, or other security-related issues.
Reports exterior lighting outages to maintenance for repair or replacement.
Conducts thorough body and property searches in accordance with company policy.
Utilizes conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe and professional environment.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 or more years of experience working with children with disabilities, substance abuse patients, or mental health patients.
CPR Certification preferred
