Senior Pricing Optimization Analyst
MarketShare is seeking professionals with theoretical and applied experience in pricing optimization and revenue management to work on development of pricing product suite in the live entertainment space.
Create technical and functional designs of models that best support our pricing and revenue management product platform.
Help with the design, specification and hands-on development of complex demand modeling (forecasting and elasticity estimations) and pricing optimization solutions.
Provide on-going thought leadership to innovation of our methods and intellectual property.
Help develop processes and technology with the goal of radically cutting cycle time for simulation and optimization projects.
Represent MarketShare with clients as well as at industry events and selected scientific & trade forums as appropriate.
Invent and apply science-based math in new spaces such as real time pricing, addressable media, competitive dynamics and associated goal seeking optimization for stakeholders in the industry, as needed and if appropriate.
Bachelors or Master’s Degree(or equivalent combination of education and experience) in Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or quantitative discipline, required. Ph.D. or Masters in Operations Research preferred.
5 plus years experience in Statistics, Operations Research, or related field, integrating mathematical concepts with business principles.
Experience in developing demand forecasting, pricing models and revenue management algorithms, preferably in travel and entertainment space, with hands on knowledge of advanced operations research modeling techniques of forecasting and optimization. Experienced candidates from hotel, airlines, or real estate pricing and revenue management are encouraged to apply as well.
Proficiency with one or more statistical and optimization packages such as MATLAB (optimization toolbox), CPLEX, SAS, SPSS and S-plus/R. Expertise in SQL. Experience with Business Intelligence and Data Mining Applications is also helpful.
Good communication skills are a must (written/verbal).
Creative thinker - able to develop unique methods of analysis where traditional methods do not yield results.
Capability drive research and analysis initiatives from project design through product development.
Experience specifically in marketing engineering, mathematical economics is helpful.
