As a member of this newly formed MarketCast Data Science Services team, you will be working alongside the most gifted minds in media analytics, helping them bring to market new audience attribution and segmentation products to support leading Hollywood studios, streaming services, lifestyle brands, and sports leagues.
We are looking for a Research Manager to join our Campaign Analytics Team in Los Angeles.
You will be joining a leading agency with a primary focus on film studios and other entertainment clients. The position sits within MarketCast’s Campaign Analytics division, testing trailers, TV ads and digital materials for a range of entertainment clients. This is a fast-moving world with clients commissioning projects at short notice and MarketCast prides itself on exceptional client service, flexibility, super-fast turnaround and concise analysis of results.
The position will be primarily focused on managing one of the agency’s most active and high profile entertainment clients, centered on set up and reporting of materials testing (trailers, TV spots, posters, digital). Specific responsibilities entail working closely with the client research team to assist with project set up and ensure client requirements and objectives are covered, analyzing materials and data and reporting the findings, including written and client debriefs (face-to-face / calls).
This is a central position within a dynamic team, covering both US and International projects, with client exposure and the opportunity to move fast and develop as an analyst, including involvement with other methodologies.
The Ideal Candidate will have
- Proactive attitude: self-starter, able to work without detailed supervision and take responsibility for fulfilling projects
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience (ideally with an entertainment focus)
- Excellent writing skills
- Keen attention to detail, good project management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with basic quantitative research
- Strong interest in entertainment; movies, series and tuned in to popular culture
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Flexible approach to work – prepared to do whatever it takes to get the job done on time and to a high level
- Good academic qualifications
- Strong visual presentation skills
- International experience
- Experience of qual, including setting up and running focus groups
