About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive, quality-focused leader to take full ownership of quality systems, process improvement, and regulatory compliance at a key manufacturing site. As Quality Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring product integrity, optimizing production capability, and strengthening relationships with customers and suppliers.

This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environments and has a strong command of ISO and Six Sigma methodologies.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Quality Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement site-wide quality improvement initiatives aligned with business and customer goals.

  • Advance Product & Process Capability: Drive continuous improvement using statistical tools and root cause analysis to optimize yield, reduce defects, and enhance throughput.

  • Manage APQP & PPAP Processes: Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process activities to ensure smooth project launches and change management.

  • Champion Customer & Supplier Quality: Serve as the primary contact for quality-related issues, leading corrective/preventive actions and fostering long-term relationships.

  • Audit & Compliance Oversight: Manage ISO 9001 certification processes and conduct internal/external audits to ensure compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements.

  • Mentor and Develop the Team: Lead, coach, and support a growing team of Quality Engineers and Technicians. Cultivate a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and ownership.

  • Support Six Sigma Projects: Contribute your Black Belt or CQE-level expertise to key initiatives, applying DMAIC and other quality tools to deliver measurable outcomes.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related technical field.

  • Experience: 7–10 years in a manufacturing quality leadership role, preferably within chemicals, automotive, or heavy industry.

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • ISO 9001 systems (TS/IATF 16949 or AS9100 experience a plus)

    • APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, CAPA

    • Six Sigma certification (CQE or Black Belt highly preferred)

    • Proficient with statistical software (e.g., Minitab) and Microsoft Access

  • Leadership Skills: Strong communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, drive change, and lead under pressure.
