Business Analyst (Reporting and Compliance)

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams (Dev, Product, Data Science, etc.) to gather and refine business requirements for reporting deliverables that meets customer and project specifications
  • Analyze, interpret, and summarize multiple and complex streams of data
  • Field business intelligence requests and dig deep to truly understand the client’s needs
  • Oversee education about data and report requests to both producers and consumers of data
  • Serve as a data liaison collaborating with various stakeholders to identify data sources needed to produce data sets and reports
  • Perform data analysis and investigation for Ad-hoc customer requests and standardized reporting
  • Continuously evaluate products and highlight opportunities for improvement
  • Review, evaluate and assist in the development and implementation of procedures and guidelines as they relate to regulatory compliance
  • Prepare, analyze, and report compliance trends and recommend improvement strategies
  • Conduct user interviews, and market analysis
  • Demonstrate a passion for developing well architected, elegant solutions


  • BS or relevant experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience working with Healthcare Information Technology
  • Regulatory Compliance and/or Risk Management experience in a Healthcare or Managed Care setting preferred
  • 2+ years of experience translating business requirements into technical specifications
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies/the SDLC
  • Prior experience with JIRA/Confluence (or similar)
  • Experience with database systems (i.e. MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  • Experience with data visualization applications (i.e. Tableau, Cognos, etc.)
  • Well versed in application/data security, and HIPAA
  • Knowledge of current trends, policy, and best practice in healthcare today, including performance, accessibility and usability
  • Highly organized, logical thinker
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment for iterative project turnarounds on mission & revenue critical, customer facing applications and websites
