Position Overview

We’re looking for a Sales Specialist to join Lumencor’s growing team—a key contributor who thrives at the intersection of customer engagement, sales development, and operational execution. This is a high-visibility role supporting Lumencor’s OEM clients while driving new sales opportunities in the Life and Materials Science markets.

You’ll manage existing client relationships and lead sales prospecting campaigns—identifying new leads and helping expand Lumencor’s reach in scientifically and technologically advanced industries. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure a seamless customer experience, from initial contact through product delivery.

This role reports directly to the Senior Global Sales Manager for Material and Life Sciences.

If you’re looking to contribute to cutting-edge scientific markets, build strong customer relationships, and grow under dynamic leadership—this is your chance.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide proactive support to OEM clients by maintaining forecasts, preparing quotes, and processing purchase orders

  • Develop and execute sales prospecting campaigns in partnership with Sales and Marketing

  • Track and manage order progress, ensuring timely communication with clients on pricing, shipping dates, and potential delays

  • Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, and Shipping teams to resolve issues and keep orders on track

  • Maintain accurate data in Salesforce, FileMaker, and Excel for reporting and operational planning

  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to manage expectations, review delivery schedules, and strengthen relationships

  • Analyze order completeness and follow up with internal stakeholders as needed

  • Generate weekly and monthly reports on sales activity, revenue, and forecasts

  • Suggest improvements to internal databases and systems to streamline operations

What You Bring

  • A 4-year Bachelor’s or 2-year Associate’s Degree, and/or relevant work experience—preferably in STEM, medical, scientific, or healthcare industries

  • 2–3 years of experience in sales administration, account management, customer care, or inside sales (strongly preferred)

  • A proven track record of detail-oriented work and strong computer proficiency

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Familiarity with Mac OS, Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, and other CRM/ERP systems (highly desirable)

  • Experience with purchase orders in high-tech, medical device, or scientific manufacturing environments (preferred)

Culture & Benefits

At Lumencor, you’ll be part of a tight-knit, collaborative team where every individual has a direct impact. We value initiative, creativity, and a solutions-first mindset. You’re trusted to take ownership of your work, think critically, and solve problems with curiosity and care.

We were founded on the belief that challenging the status quo drives meaningful innovation—a mindset that still guides how we operate today through ethical practices, collaborative thinking, and a shared commitment to pushing boundaries in science and technology.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and want to grow with a company that rewards effort, integrity, and imagination, we’d love to connect.

  • 100% Company-Paid Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision

  • 401(k) with company match up to 4%

  • Generous PTO: 3 weeks to start (up to 6 weeks with tenure) + 8 paid holidays

  • A work culture that values respect, creativity, and individual contribution

  • Health Savings Account (HSA) – Generous annual employer contributions

  • Life & AD&D Insurance
