Living Yoga is a NON-PROFIT organization. Our mission is FOSTERING HEALING AND RESILIENCE THROUGH TRAUMA-INFORMED YOGA. Through teams of dedicated volunteers, we bring trauma-informed yoga to more than 600 students each month in corrections and reentry, addiction treatment and recovery, and community health programs throughout the Portland metro area.

Data Management and Evaluation Support (40%)
Assist with the design and implementation of all data collection, tracking, and evaluation processes to support efficiency and quality control.
Perform data entry from program & training evaluation surveys, including volunteer and trauma resiliency trainings, continuing education workshops, and annual program evaluation feedback from volunteers, students, and partner site staff.
Summarize outcome results, and participate in team discussions related to evaluation outcomes.
Run queries and data reports from google sheets and forms, as well as our eTapestry database for donor, volunteer, and partner site information. Training will be provided, if not familiar with eTapestry database platform.
Prepare internal time tracking and outcome data reports to measure efficiency, productivity, and ROI.
Program & Training Support (20%)
Attend and participate in staff meetings, typically scheduled on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.
Assist the Volunteer Coordinator, by tracking class attendance and schedules, preparing training materials and participating in volunteer outreach, correspondence, appreciation, and initiatives as needed.
Collaborate with the LY team on the committed implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives that support Living Yoga’s strategic priorities and equity commitments.
Support staff in implementing outreach strategies to recruit and retain underrepresented populations to form a diverse community of LY volunteers, in terms of race, identity, lived experience, income/housing stability, physical mobility, culture, language, etc.
Administrative & Communications Support (25%)
Prepare targeted mailings and post scheduled social media content.
Assist staff in updating documentation, and branding of flyers and materials.
Assist with incoming mail and voicemail.
Order supplies and track inventory.
Maintain shared Google calendars and password tracking.
Assist with IT support.
Event Support (varies 5-20% throughout the year)
Assist with the procurement of auction items, in-kind donations, and food and beverages.
Gather vendor price quotes and research available service options.
Setup software and transfer data between platforms, as needed.
Assist staff with event prep, setup, and cleanup, as requested, including registration at our Annual Benefit event.
Coordinate and prepare event volunteers with scheduling, training, and task logistics.
2+ years of data entry and administrative experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative style with clear written and oral communication.
Comfortable using MS Office (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, etc.).
Experience with, or willingness to learn, use of database platforms and software, such as eTapestry, Volunteer Scheduler Pro, Box.com, Constant Contact, etc.
Proven ability to listen well, think critically, problem-solve, and maintain ethical and professional business practices in all aspects of the role.
A growth mindset: willing to ask for help, make mistakes, and learn from them, and support and teach others as they learn, as well.
A passion for Living Yoga’s mission and dedication to social justice.
Personal understanding and appreciation of mindfulness-based skills, yoga, mind-body skills, breathwork, and down-regulation practices
Interest in learning and understanding how trauma impacts the body and collective nervous system, the pervasive and system-wide effects of trauma, and how to identify signs and symptoms of trauma in yourself and others.
