Strategic Account Manager
Sales | New York, NY | Full Time
Awarded for four consecutive years as one of Crain's 100 Best Places to Work in New York City, LiveAuctioneers is the leading online marketplace for one-of-a-kind items, rare collectibles, and coveted goods. Our ever changing online catalogue has included everything from Banksy prints and first edition Harry Potter books, to Garth Brooks' tour bus and countless Hermès Birkin bags. Last year, LiveAuctioneers helped facilitate $14 billion of sales by connecting millions of the world’s most knowledgeable collectors with 6,000 vetted, professional sellers of extraordinary previously owned items.
Founded in 2002, LiveAuctioneers has been a technology innovator, as the first in the industry to introduce mobile bidding, video-streamed auctions, and numerous other enhancements to the online auction industry. As LiveAuctioneers continues to be a pioneer in the buying and selling of exceptional items, you have an opportunity to join a company led by a management team who had a hand in taking market-leading companies, like Google, Seamless, and GrubHub, from niche websites to household names.
We are seeking an ambitious and organized Strategic Account Manager to lead relationships with our strategic partners. This person will be responsible for delivering exceptional support to LiveAuctioneers’ most prestigious auction houses. The ideal candidate is an advocate for our dealers, a quick-thinking problem-solver, and a patient and collaborative team member, who is able to work cross-functionally.
In this role, the Strategic Account Manager will focus on cultivating customer relationships, by using research to gain insight into customer challenges, identifying key stakeholders, and challenging client thinking about how LiveAuctioneers can create further value for their business. Our goal is to create the best client experiences by being product experts and consulting with these key sellers to identify and support their needs and pain points.
This person will be responsible for driving our expansion by leveraging these relationships and, therefore, must love working with people. This job requires an individual who is highly attentive, organized, motivated, personable, professional, and resourceful - even under pressure.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Accounts, this role will be based in New York City, with flexibility to work remotely through June 2021, at least, due to COVID-19.
