Job Summary

We are seeking an ambitious and organized Strategic Account Manager to lead relationships with our strategic partners. This person will be responsible for delivering exceptional support to LiveAuctioneers’ most prestigious auction houses. The ideal candidate is an advocate for our dealers, a quick-thinking problem-solver, and a patient and collaborative team member, who is able to work cross-functionally. 

In this role, the Strategic Account Manager will focus on cultivating customer relationships, by using research to gain insight into customer challenges, identifying key stakeholders, and challenging client thinking about how LiveAuctioneers can create further value for their business. Our goal is to create the best client experiences by being product experts and consulting with these key sellers to identify and support their needs and pain points.

This person will be responsible for driving our expansion by leveraging these relationships and, therefore, must love working with people. This job requires an individual who is highly attentive, organized, motivated, personable, professional, and resourceful - even under pressure.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Accounts, this role will be based in New York City, with flexibility to work remotely through June 2021, at least, due to COVID-19.

Core Responsibilities

  • Act as the key link between priority sellers and LiveAuctioneers.

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with new and existing key auction houses, including proactively delivering feedback, best practices, and new offerings.

  • Drive seller satisfaction by delivering excellent service on all client interactions.

  • Communicate effectively with dealers and internal teams to find timely solutions to resolve issues and challenges.

  • Exceed aggressive KPIs consisting of outbound phone calls, emails, and sales/product adoptions targets.

  • Identify opportunities, using data, to upsell and cross-sell value-added services - providing insights and implementing custom strategies to help increase the satisfaction, success, and growth of our strategic partners.

  • Manage all key reporting metrics in a timely and meticulous fashion.

  • Develop subject matter expertise on each prestige auction house’s products.


  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3+ years of experience in customer service, sales, account management, and/or business development experience, with experience closing sales leads and managing multiple accounts.

  • Experienced building, fostering, and maintaining profitable relationships with key clients.

  • Great verbal and written communicator, who is able to motivate and influence both internally and externally.

  • Excellent listener, who is able to recognize customer needs and recommend appropriate and accurate solutions in a timely and thoughtful manner.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly, while paying strict attention to detail.

  • An entrepreneurial, self-starter and innovative leader with a positive attitude and strong organizational skills.

  • Strong proficiency in SalesForce and Microsoft Office Suite, with an ability to identify and extract key information from large data sets.

  • Passionate about art and/or collectibles preferred.
