Job Summary

Reporting directly to the CEO, the People Operations Manager will be responsible for recommending and implementing HR policies and procedures that enable LiveAuctioneers to delight customers and team members while achieving strategic objectives.  You will be planning, evaluating, suggesting, and executing on HR matters including employee relations, training and development, performance management, talent acquisition, and more.                                    

This is a full-time position located in your choice of New York City (Manhattan) or Salt Lake City (Lehi), with flexibility to work remotely at least through June 2021 due to COVID.    

What You'll Do

  • Drive and execute the organization's HR initiatives and programs

  • Develop approach to talent acquisition, assisting in management of external recruiters and defining hiring process

  • Create new employee onboarding procedures and ensure regular employee training and development

  • Be a culture ambassador, ensuring the organization's mission, vision, and values translate effectively to all employees

  • Ensure compliance with company practices and procedures, including government laws and regulations, completing filings and documentation as needed

  • Maintain and ensure progress on DEI roadmap

  • Provide advice on compensation and benefits, including managing all aspects of benefits administration with current PEO provider


  • Positive, "can do" attitude

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an excellent ability to listen 

  • 4 or more years of general HR/People Operations experience required, and previous HR Business Partner/HR Generalist experience strongly preferred

  • Proven ability to identify, plan, and implement new processes

  • Able to manage sensitive and confidential information

  • Comfortable analyzing and presenting metrics (e.g., compensation and benefits benchmarks)

  • Bachelor's degree
