UI/UX Designer

ListenFirst is a data and analytics company providing insights for brands.  Leveraging our self-service platform, proprietary data products, and strategic analysis, we provide brands competitive context, industry standard benchmarks, reporting efficiencies, and a cross-platform vantage point to optimize business performance.  The ListenFirst platform aggregates data streams from a wide range of sources - from sales figures, customer engagement, research & tracking, media impact, social (such as Facebook and Twitter) and much more.  Since inception in 2012, ListenFirst has been working with a wide portfolio of clients, including Warner Bros., Food Network, Proximo Spirits, NewYork-Presbyterian, NBCUniversal, and more.

We are currently looking for a UI/UX Designer to help take the design of our products to the next level. We want someone who’s passionate about taking on big design challenges.  How can we surface a lot of data and complex insights, while keeping the product simple?  You’ll have to ask tough questions, challenge the status quo, conduct new research, and translate it all into simple, beautiful, and detailed designs that customers love.



  • Strong understanding of UX/UI Principles

  • Research and document clear user stories and UX specifications (wireframes, user flows, etc), including UI designs, business rules, logic, and data requirements

  • Drive internal and external web application UIs, as well as the style of marketing collateral

  • Communicate and present concepts to internal and external stakeholders

  • Execute interaction design and visual design as a part of a multi-disciplinary team

  • Ability to work on projects both collaboratively and individually

  • Establish UI strategy and UX best practices for the company



  • Experience in the following:

    • User Testing/Research

    • Responsive Design (web, tablet, mobile)

    • User and Process Flows

    • UI Design

    • Wireframes

    • Prototypes

  • Conversational knowledge of HTML/CSS

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Great attention to detail, organized and proficient with scheduling and prioritizing

  • Up to date on digital trends

  • Interest or passion with data visualization and reporting

  • Highly attuned intuition regarding stakeholder needs and expectation setting

  • Ability to report into and interact with company executive leadership

  • Basic understanding of marketing channels, especially digitally oriented ones including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, Website Analytics, Ad-Servers, Pinterest, etc.

  • Degree in related field
