Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Here at ALVIC USA, we are seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician that will be responsible for performing and tracking all preventative maintenance and scheduled service of factory machinery and equipment. Responsible for maintenance and periodic modifications to electrical, compressed air, humidification, mechanical systems.
Essential Functions:
Be able to read schematic diagrams of electrical and mechanical systems, comprehend instructions, correspondences and effectively present information.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems on poorly performing equipment
Perform schedule preventative maintenance, machines and mechanical equipment, as well as general service on broke equipment.
Perform equipment repairs for PLC’s, electrical and maintenance systems.
Work outside of scheduled production hours on occasion to repair damage machinery in order to reduce impact on production.
Promptly responds to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
Must be able to work well with others and take direction.
Will Train machine operations in their PR maintenance tasks and follow up to see that they have been completed.
Will work closely with Safety committee to ensure work environment.
Must able to flex into other tasks to support production when needed.
Maintain and repair small tools, electrical cords and compressed air hoses.
Implement lean practices and principles (Standard Work, 5S, 8-Wastes, etc.)
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required. Must be 18 years of age. General machinery maintenance experience preferred. Welding experience helpful. Must have 5 or more years of experience in related field. Valid driver’s license required.

Proven experience as maintenance technician
Strong technical knowledge of automatic systems: pneumatics, electricity, motors, etc.
Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
Experience using hand and electrical tools
Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
Understanding of budgeting and performance management
Attention to detail
Computer skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Hours: Full time, 40-hours per week; shift hours vary. Overtime as needed. May be called upon to work outside of normal scheduled work hours on occasion for equipment repairs.
