Job Description
Here at Lioher, we are looking for a Junior Accountant Specialist to manage all financial transactions such as fixed payments, variable expenses, bank deposits and budgets.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare budget forecasts.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Utilize Microsoft PowerPoint to create and present presentations when need be,
- Manage balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and cash flow.
- For the assigned entities, responsible for the general ledger (journal entries preparation, account analysis, and reconciliation), to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
- Reviews and posts intercompany transactions in preparation for consolidated financial statements.
- Prepares routine financial statements for Management review.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned and analyze their variances.
- Query and mine large data sets to discover transaction patterns, examine financial data and filter for targeted information using traditional (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, ) advanced visual (Tableau, ) and predictive analytic methodologies and software packages.
- Perform statistical analyses with existing data sets using various tools (Excel, Oracle Discoverer, TOAD, SQL, ) to validate the data's integrity and verify that processes are working correctly and complying with laws and regulations.
- Present key insights to auditors and management using advanced visualization tools, and highlight the data analytics capability to the IA team globally.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical employees.
- Extensive knowledge of data preparation procedures and requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
Education and Experience:
- Must have a minimum of Three years of experience in accounting.
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred but not required.
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
