Senior Business Consultant – Subject Matter Expert

Senior Business Consultant will participate in business process modeling activities including meetings, focus groups, and interviews; as well as the management of formal change control activities and strategic planning. The Senior Business Consultant is a project team member of a project focused on Human Capital Management business processes and strategic planning within the USCG.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct analysis and facilitation to aid in ensuring Coast Guard (CG) policies and CG daily activities are accurately represented in business process models.
  • Build continuity throughout business process models through standardized processes.
  • May provide support for project team.
  • Assist in defining project objectives and strategic direction.
  • Responsible for project leadership and serves as a key facilitator between multiple teams to achieve objectives of complex efforts.

What You Bring:

  • Education: 3 to 10 years’ experience and a BA/BS or MA/MS degree (Not required)
  • KSAs
    a) Knowledge, and extensive experience in military law, history, and human resources processes, or business architecture.
    b) Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
    c) Ability to provide guidance and direction for multiple projects implementing: change management principles, business process development, business re- engineering, and performance measurement.
    d) Capability to manage projects of high complexity and to direct the completion of projects within estimated timeframes and resource constraints.
    e) Ability to assess products and procedures for compliance with: government standards, accounting principles, internal controls, and multi-tiered system application standards.
    f) Ability to grasp interrelationships between financial management requirements and automated business solutions, considering the current system environment and the potential integration of added systems concurrently or later.
    g) Ability to coordinate all parties to tasks and review work products for completeness, quality, and adherence to customer requirements.
    h) Ability to read and interpret Government policy, regulations, and directives, and to apply those interpretations directed by the Project Manager or designee fully and legally to all PWS activities.
    i) Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with executive level personnel
